What tvOS 26.2 Fixes

tvOS 26.2, released December 12, 2025, fixes 18 vulnerabilities in 7 parts of the system, according to Apple's security advisory.

Apple says 2 of these flaws — CVE-2025-43529, CVE-2025-14174 — may already have been exploited. That makes tvOS 26.2 an update to install now rather than at the weekend.

It has since been superseded: the newest security release for tvOS 26 is tvOS 26.6, from July 27, 2026, which includes these fixes.

Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on versions of iOS before iOS 26. CVE-2025-43529 was also issued in response to this report.

  A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved validation.

How to Install tvOS 26.2

On the Apple TV, open Settings → System → Software Updates.
