What we collect
This site sets no cookies, uses no third-party analytics, and requires no account. Nothing is written to your browser — no cookie, no local storage, no identifier of any kind. We do not collect, store or sell personal data.
Our own measurement
We do count visits, so we know which pages are worth keeping up to date. A small script on each page records the page you opened, how long it was on screen, how far you scrolled, and taps on links that leave the site. Alongside it we record the country Cloudflare reports, the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type, language and screen size.
There is no identifier behind any of this. To avoid counting the same person twice in a day, the server derives a number from your IP address and browser string together with a random value that is generated fresh each day and thrown away at midnight — so the same visitor is a different number tomorrow, and the number cannot be turned back into an address. Your IP address is never stored. Individual events are kept for about 14 months. After that, what remains is a one-line summary of each visit — country, device type, browser, language, the first page opened and the referring site, still with no identifier that outlives the day — and daily totals.
Advertising
The only advertising on this site is for DailyWall, an iPhone app made by the same people who run Beta Profiles. Those units are served from this site, set no cookies and use no third-party ad network. We count how often a unit is seen and tapped, as anonymous totals per day and page; nothing that identifies you is recorded.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which may process standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver content and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
