Why This Test Exists
Apple's image and video formats are excellent on Apple hardware and awkward everywhere else. HEIC photos and HEVC video routinely fail to open on Windows, on older software and in web uploads, which is why conversion is one of the most common things people need and one of the most common things sites do badly — usually by uploading your files to a server first.
