On modern iOS there is no profile to remove
Since iOS 16.4, Apple no longer uses configuration profiles for beta access. If your iPhone runs iOS 17, 18, 26 or 27, there is nothing in VPN & Device Management to delete — the beta channel is controlled by a setting instead.
To leave the beta, open Settings → General → Software Update → Beta Updates and choose Off. That is the modern equivalent of removing the profile: your iPhone stops receiving beta builds and rejoins the stable channel at the next public release.
Removing an old beta profile (iOS 16 and earlier)
On older iOS versions the profile is a real file. Open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management (called Profiles & Device Management on some versions), select the beta software profile, and tap Remove Profile. Enter your passcode and restart the iPhone.
After the restart the device stops being offered beta builds. It stays on whatever version is currently installed until a public release with a higher version number arrives.
Removing the profile does not downgrade your iPhone
This trips people up constantly. Deleting the profile — or switching Beta Updates off — only stops future betas. The beta version already installed stays exactly where it is.

Check for other profiles while you are there
The same Settings screen lists every configuration profile installed on the iPhone — school and workplace profiles, VPN configurations, and occasionally profiles installed by dubious websites promising betas or free services.
If you see a profile you do not recognise, remove it. Configuration profiles can change DNS settings, install certificates and restrict features, which is exactly why Apple retired them for consumer beta access.
