How the iOS 18 Beta Was Installed
Enrol your Apple Account at beta.apple.com or developer.apple.com, then choose iOS 18 under Settings → General → Software Update → Beta Updates. The beta then arrived like any other software update, and every subsequent build was offered automatically.
The iOS 18 developer beta opened on June 10, 2024, with the public beta following in July 15, 2024. New builds then arrived every one to two weeks until the finished version shipped that autumn.
