The macOS 26 Beta Cycle
2 pre-release builds of macOS 26 are on record, each with its own page and Apple's notes for it where they were published. The build history lays out every platform side by side.
macOS 26 betas are still arriving for the next point release — the install guide covers joining, and leaving is as simple.
How to Install macOS 26
Open System Settings → General → Software Update → Beta Updates. A shipped release needs nothing beyond that — no file, no profile, no account beyond the one already on the device.
Coming from an older version, the device installs the newest macOS 26 release directly; there is no need to step through the ones in between. If nothing appears, this guide covers the three usual causes.
