Where macOS 27 Stands Today

The current version is macOS 27.2, released October 26, 2026 as build 26B123. 3 macOS 27 releases have shipped since September 14, 2026.

Apple is signing macOS 27.2 (26B123) for 61 models right now, which is what decides whether a restore to it completes. We recheck that automatically — the macOS 27 IPSW catalogue carries it per build.

Every macOS 27 Release

Each version, its build number, the day it shipped and the gap before it. Taken from Apple's release feed within minutes of each one and kept permanently — the gaps are measured, not estimated.

The macOS 27 Beta Cycle

12 pre-release builds of macOS 27 are on record, each with its own page and Apple's notes for it where they were published. The build history lays out every platform side by side.

How to Install macOS 27

Open System Settings → General → Software Update → Beta Updates. A shipped release needs nothing beyond that — no file, no profile, no account beyond the one already on the device.

Coming from an older version, the device installs the newest macOS 27 release directly; there is no need to step through the ones in between. If nothing appears, this guide covers the three usual causes.
